Westwinds Late Pick-Up Policy
Beginning this school year, a late pick-up fee will be implemented for students who are not picked up during the designated dismissal window. This decision was made after careful consideration and is intended to ensure a respectful balance between school operations and staff well-being.
Our teachers and staff are dedicated professionals who give their best each day to support your child’s learning and growth. Like all working individuals, they also have personal responsibilities and commitments outside of school hours. When students are not picked up on time, staff are required to stay beyond their scheduled hours, which impacts their personal and family time. Additionally, waiting for extended periods after a full day at school can be tiring and stressful for children.
To support a more efficient and respectful end-of-day process, the following fees will apply:
Dismissal/Pick up time window: 2:20-3:05 PM
3:20 – 4:00 PM: Parents will be charged $1.00 per every minute late picking up your child/ren
4:00 – 4:30 PM: Flat fee of $50.00 will be charged
Parents must enter the school and sign the Late Pick-Up Register at the time of pick-up between 3:20 - 4:00 PM.
Late pick-up charges will be invoiced monthly and deducted from the pre-authorized debit account on file.
No early pick-ups after 2:00 PM.
All early dismissals / pick up calls / in person requests must come into the office before 1:30 PM.
Bus students who need to be picked up must notify the school by 1:30 PM.
If no notice is received before 1:30 pm, the student will take the bus as usual.
