GNG Uniform Policy
Students must be in full school uniform on:
Monday–Thursday
Special events (assemblies, guests, photos)
Field trips, unless otherwise stated
Exam/test days
Full Uniform:
Grey pants, white polo shirt
Burgundy (maroon) sweater/hoodie with school logo (white polo must be worn underneath)
Black running shoes
Indoor and outdoor shoes required
No flip-flops or Crocs
Dastars/ Rumals: Maroon only
Allowed every Friday unless otherwise notified
Clothing must be modest and appropriate for school and Darbar Sahib
Not permitted: crop tops, low necklines, shorts, leggings, or clothing with inappropriate graphics
Students are expected to dress respectfully and in alignment with Sikh values
Students may wear modest spirit wear or the assigned theme.
Appropriate attire may be worn as directed by teachers for sports or special projects.
Festive or traditional Sikh attire (Bana) approved by administration
No lenghas or shararas due to safety concerns
The following are not permitted:
Fake eyelashes or eyeshadow
Lipstick or lip gloss
Fake nails or extensions
The school may send students home to change if attire does not meet guidelines.
First Offense: Warning + Uniform Violation Ticket sent home
Second Offense: Second warning + parent phone call
Third Offense: Student sent home to change or parent must bring proper uniform; administration involved
Fourth Offense: Possible detention/suspension; meeting with student, parent, teacher, and administration; suspension notice filed
Any exceptions (including medical needs) must be approved by school administration in advance.
Non-uniform days and policy updates will be shared through the school newsletter, Class Dojo, and direct communication from teachers/administration.
