Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join as Substitute Teacher . The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education that caters to the individual needs and abilities of our students. This role requires a deep understanding of various teaching methodologies, strong communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging and effective instruction tailored to the needs of individual students and groups.
• Uphold the values and mission of Gobind Sarvar School by fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity in curriculum delivery and student progress.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to the evolving needs of the school community.
• Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and pedagogical approaches.
• Uphold the school's values and beliefs, including covering one's head with a bandana while on school property, adhering to vegetarian dietary guidelines, and promoting a culture of mindfulness and community connection.
Qualifications:
• Possession of a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
• Bachelor of Education Degree or equivalent recognized by Alberta Education.
• Familiarity with diverse teaching methodologies and strategies to address multiple intelligences.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.
School Values and Beliefs:
• Teachers are required to cover their heads with a bandana while on school property, field trips, and professional development days.
• Teachers are required to bring vegetarian snacks and lunches (no meat, egg, or fish) while on school premises and during school hours.
