Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join as Substitute Teacher . The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education that caters to the individual needs and abilities of our students. This role requires a deep understanding of various teaching methodologies, strong communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and effective instruction tailored to the needs of individual students and groups.

Uphold the values and mission of Gobind Sarvar School by fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity in curriculum delivery and student progress.

Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to the evolving needs of the school community.

Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and pedagogical approaches.

Uphold the school's values and beliefs, including covering one's head with a bandana while on school property, adhering to vegetarian dietary guidelines, and promoting a culture of mindfulness and community connection.

Qualifications:

Possession of a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.

Bachelor of Education Degree or equivalent recognized by Alberta Education.

Familiarity with diverse teaching methodologies and strategies to address multiple intelligences.

Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.

School Values and Beliefs:

Teachers are required to cover their heads with a bandana while on school property, field trips, and professional development days.

Teachers are required to bring vegetarian snacks and lunches (no meat, egg, or fish) while on school premises and during school hours.
